What this office decides
A Cobb County commissioner is one of five votes setting the county budget and property tax millage rate, and overseeing police, fire, parks, water and sewer, and transit services. Commissioners also decide zoning and rezoning cases that shape density, housing, and commercial development in their district. They approve bonds and special purpose sales tax project lists.
